We Read in the House Our Fathers Built



This work is a result of 10 months spent in residence at the Lit and Phil acquiring ephemera, images and texts which were bound together to create art objects. This work uncovers the narratives which are hidden in the cracked spines and embellished cornices of the historical building and its vast collections. Using photography, installation and painting she further explores the way nature works to decay both the building and the books contrasted with the work undertaken by artisans and book binders to protect and repair the damage
done.
